Association of Licensed Surveyors in Israel
The Association of Licensed Surveyors is one of the oldest professional associations in Israel – it was founded before the state, in 1946!
Over 360 licensed surveyors are members of the Association with half being self employed and half salaried.
The Association’s objectives:

Representing surveyors, to organize their activities and express a unified surveying agenda.

Promoting the position of the Association’s members – in every aspect of their profession.

Protecting the land surveying profession and safe guarding licensed surveyor’s moral and ethical responsibilities.

Guarding the professional freedom, honor and rights of the Association’s members.
The main obligations of the Association’s members:

Follow the Association’s articles of association and the Association’s decisions.

Adhere to the professional ethics as established in the articles of association.

Obliged to provide expert and professional services, and act as a consultant.

Act in a fair manner to their colleagues, the authorities and the clients.
The main institutions of the Association:

“The general meeting” – which is the supreme institute of the Association.

Executive committee – which incorporates the Southern, Jerusalem, Central, and Northern representatives, the independent surveyor’s representative, and the salaried surveyor’s representative.

Legal committee.
-
Culture committee.
-
Internal inspection committee.
Activities:
The Association is working continuously to establish, develop and maintain relations with different government ministries and public bodies, regarding the surveying profession.
Striving to achieve a higher level of efficiency and a better design process by explaining the change of attitude needed by other professionals towards the work of the surveyor.
The Association is represented in government and public forums.
Participating in discussion with architects and engineers – in order to explain the surveyor’s law environment and their derivative needs.
The Association helps in disputes between surveyors and between surveyors and their clients. The Association can also nominate professional experts or arbitrators to help solving disputes.
The Association is organizing professional continuing education programs for its members, as well as courses and study days, in different topics - for members and for the public.
